Title of talk: Fracture liaison service model of care: make the first fragility fracture the last
Precis: After a fragility fracture, approximately 20 percent of patients receive osteoporosis screening and/or treatment. Current models of care for osteoporosis and fracture prevention only work in locations that adopt a systematic approach for management of patients at risk of fracture or with previous fragility fracture. This presentation outlines best practice ideas from Fracture Liaison Service (FLS) programs in the UK, Canada, and the USA and focuses on the 10 steps needed to not only get a FLS started but also keep it going.
This session is complimentary, however you must sign up for it via your conference registration here.
